The Administrator and Principals Conference - October 15-17, 2010
The Administrator and Principals Conference of Jewish Day Schools, Supplementary Schools and experiential programs offers education professionals in the Toronto community a chance to study together in a relaxed and informal setting. This year we are pleased to be holding the event at the Festival Inn, Stratford Ontario October 15-17th and look forward to enjoying the benefit of being nestled in this theatre community. We will engage in study and can be sure that it will have a Shakespearean flavour, moments to worship, and of course to enjoy the theater together.
Conference facilitator - Gary Wexler
Gary Wexler, Founder and President of Passion Marketing, spent twenty years as a creative director and copywriter for major advertising agencies, ranging from Chiat/Day to McCann-Erickson, producing award-winning work for clients such as Coca Cola and Apple Computer. Ten years ago, bringing with him the knowledge of ad agency practice, he moved into the world of issues and causes, establishing Passion Marketing. He has since worked with over 400 Nonprofit/NGO clients ranging from the Ford Foundation to Steven Spielberg's Righteous Person's Foundation, the United Way and multiple Jewish Federations. Now, as he once brought the knowledge of ad agencies into the Nonprofit/NGO arena, he steps back into the world of business, bringing the discoveries of Nonprofit/NGO marketing to a world of commerce and profit. While maintaining his ever-growing client basis in the Nonprofit/NGO field, Gary begins his journey back into the world of business, armed with the knowledge of what is required to uncover the intangible, creating results more powerful than ever.

IS ALL THE JEWISH WORLD ONE STAGE?
[after As You Like It, II, vii, 132]
JEWISH EDUCATORS AND JEWISH SOCIETY
In the leafy, theatrical environs of Stratford, Ontario, we have come together to explore joint opportunities for growth: We, the educational leaders of Toronto’s Jewish school system, no matter our individual ideologies or educational approaches, share a common goal: the transmission of Jewish identity to the next generation. It is sometimes difficult for each of us, isolated somewhat in our specific and formal, working environments, to remember that we do not work in a vacuum. We all play on the same stage, if in different ways and contexts. Our student in the classroom is the same child outside of school – at home, in the summer camp, in the youth group, even in the mall - who functions in a specific social-economic and family context. As well, in our more reflective moments we try to determine the extent of our success: What really is our impact on Jewish society?
