2012 / 5772 National Bible Contest - Chidon Hatanach

On May 6-8 The 2012 The National Bible contest was held in Toronto. The Bible contest (Chidon Hatanach) is co-sponsored by The UJA Federation Centre for Jewish Education, The Bronfman Jewish Education Centre and  Jewish National Fund. This contest offers students a chance to study a list of chapters in bible in a given year cycle, and write a preliminary regional test.

In March 2012, the annual Regional Bible Contest took place.  Over 200 students from Montreal, Victoria B.C., Calgary, Alta. and Toronto participated. 111 students successfully advanced to the National Bible Contest. The National Bible Contest is an event which highlights the efforts of our students in day and supplementary schools who engage in the study of Torah above and beyond the regular curricular expectations.

The winners in the 9-11 division will compete in the 2013 International Bible Contest in Israel.
